The Patroons Mexican - McHenry

This is the best Mexican restaurant in McHenry! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is truly authentic.

My husband and I have ordered online 2 or 3 times now, and each experience has been amazing. Our favorites are the taco salad ($11.99) and the chimichanga dinner ($11.99), both with pork because it's simply the best. You can add extra guacamole or sour cream for just $1.00. The chimichanga dinner comes with some extra spicy sauces on the side that really add a nice kick! The rice and beans are also delicious. The portion sizes are huge, which is something I'm still getting used to. I had never tried horchata before coming here, but I have to say it's a must-try—absolutely love it!

This cozy yet authentic Mexican restaurant features friendly and welcoming staff. They serve a wide range of popular Mexican dishes and also offer takeout. There are a few video gaming machines for entertainment as well. The prices on the menu are quite reasonable. We enjoyed the shrimp ceviche, shrimp and fish soup, and tacos. We will definitely be coming back for more!

I recently moved to the area and have ordered from this restaurant twice. The food is fantastic, and the customer service is exceptional! The owners are very friendly.
