She handed me my ice cream towering with no lid, so obviously I asked for a lid (because how tf am I supposed to safely drive and keep my car clean while holding that? She just handed me a lid and told me it was too much to put it on, so i'd have to eat some if I wanted to put a lid on. Why in the hell would you not just put a lid on it in the first place? Especially considering I was the only one in the car and clearly had nobody to hold it for me. Ice cream dripped all over myself and my car while I had to hold it with one hand. It was supposed to be for my mom but half of it had melted on me before I got home. I love this place, but lady, you suck.
The ice cream is unique and good flavors so we are happy with the product but the service at this location is substandard compared to the Melissa location which is always very positive with a smile and makes you feel welcome and valued.A little goes a long way when it comes to making a basic effort to smile and greet the customer. If your order taker has a flatline personality, they should put him in a different position not dealing with customers. The group of young people they have working at McKinney will literally just stand at the register and stare at you in silence when you reach the front of the order line and not greet you or ask if they can take your order. I guess they never properly trained them.I am not expecting Chic-fil-A or McDonald's level of service but to just stand there without saying hello or how may I help you in just strange and sets the wrong tone for what is supposed to be a positive fun experience. We live close to the new Lucas location so we hope Lucas will be a better experience. The attitude of this McKinney staff comes across as they would rather be doing something else.It could be they just need a little more training in how to properly communicate with the clientele. I repeat the product is excellent but the service and atmosphere needs improvement to the point where it's worth driving to Melissa location instead. (the atmosphere is a result of the attitude of the staff).I understand it may be difficult to hear this feedback but with a little more attention to expressing courtesy and cleaning the floor and tables more, this McKinney location could be a fantastic place.
1st time here, I’m glad I decided to stop by, I got a Pina Colada Italian ice cream! It’s so delicious! Brought me back memories from a place it used to exist many years ago when I was little “orange Julius”. The young man at the cashier was very polite, I’ll be coming back!
The ice cream was great, the staff was nice but they floor was filthy and very very sticky. They need a better floor cleaner. You could see that it was mopped but it looked like it was just a huge smear rather than cleaned. It's positively not the staff because like I said, you could see that it was mopped but the cleaner/soap is horrible. My feet kept sticking to the floor. The speaker outside the front door is broken and was purely static, not making the table seating out front very enjoyable. Aside from that, the store itself was pretty nice. I do recommend their ice cream.
If I could give a negative 5 star I would. We got 1/2 our order. This clown company said they claimed that they didn't see the 2nd part of our order never made it. Uber Rats didn't validate now we're just left with no ice cream, no refund, nothing. Take better care of your customers, before you lose more.
