De Mondion - Mdina

I can not recommend de Mondion enough! The ingredients were chosen with great detail, the dishes were just perfect, while the staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Our dinner turned out to be a true experience. Everything from the (delicious) food to the staff’s great care and the positioning of the restaurant makes it worth every penny! True affordable luxury! Thank you for an unforgettable dinner!

One of, if not the best, dining experiences I have ever had. Beautiful view from the terrace overlooking the island. The service was absolutley phenomenal, like a well choreographed ballet. Without a doubt I have never experienced this quality of service from a restaurant. The sommelier was excellent and very knowledable about the area. The food was exceptional, both delicious and presented beautifully. The steak was perhaps the best I've had and was cooked to perfection (medium rare). Just beware that you can only order the tasting menu if everyone at the table also gets it. I also wanted to thank everyone working there for being so accommodating to my father-in law who uses a wheelchair/mobile scooter. They accommodated him without hesitation and assisted in helping him to the table and carrying his scooter. Overall very highly recommend dining here.

We were blown away by our experience here. The contrast from the cityscape to the walls of the silent city created an breathtaking ambiance. Not only did we have the white tablecloth, elevated dining experience that we enjoy but we were provided with a level of care that left us speechless. Anita is a wonderful person who’s genuine interest in her guests radiates through in every interaction you have with her. Stevie, as well, as an integral part of our experience as he guided my wife and I through our incredible food journey here. We are beyond pleased that we chose this place to celebrate our elopement.

5* food and 5* service! We had a wonderful evening with the tasting menu and wine pairings. Was particularly impressed by Yingsern the sommelier who explained the wines so eloquently. We absolutely loved the Despatch Sangiovese 2012! All the staff were so welcoming and made our experience at de Mondion unforgettable.

Are. You. Serious!? This restaurant serves food that deserves to be placed in a museum. Tears were shed at the flavours that exploded in my mouth (literally, I cried). The creativity that the team were able to imprint onto a plate is simply beyond the innovation of mere mortals. My taste buds were humbled that evening and I will forever dread my future meals at not coming close to the experience that was felt at de Mondion. I am petrified I may never be this satisfied ever again.
