Mikado Japanese Steak House

We've been passing by this restaurant for months, intending to stop in, and we finally did tonight. We're so glad we made that choice! The decor is lovely, and the food was both delicious and generous in portion sizes. Our waiter was fantastic! As newcomers to Japanese cuisine, we had plenty of questions, and our waiter was more than happy to explain the menu and suggest dishes based on our preferences. I would definitely recommend Mikado to everyone!

Incredible value for delicious sushi! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and pricing at this restaurant. I'm usually accustomed to spending between $60 and $100 for a nice sushi dinner for two. However, Mikado offers a fantastic weekday special (available for both lunch and dinner) for just $11.99. This deal allows you to choose three sushi rolls from a list of 12 or 15 options, along with miso soup. The rolls available are the classic favorites like Spicy Tuna, California, Philadelphia, and Salmon, as well as some delightful fried options (the Rock 'n 'Roll and Phoenix rolls are particularly exceptional). It is truly a wonderful meal, and it’s refreshing to find such high quality at a budget-friendly price. While Mikado may not be my top pick for sushi in the Harrisburg area, I find myself coming here more often than my preferred place, which says a lot!

This restaurant is a fantastic place to dine, especially for families. The chef cooks right in front of you and provides generous portions, which is definitely a plus! Every time I've visited, the service has been excellent. If you're planning to go with your family, I highly recommend visiting during lunch. It's much less crowded, and the bar is closed during that time.

Very Good. 5 adults+1small child ate here,seated promptly, drinks arrives quickly along with salads and sushi rolls that we had ordered.Chef did great entertaining us, food (mine steak and scallops) were great.Big portion, most of us taken a box home.5 meals cost me $135.00.Very similiar to what I had paid at other place's like this.Would visit again, very pleased.

Great Sushi. So far the best sushi I had in the Harrisburg area, my girlfriend and I come here frequently. Try the Pink Lady, it is a special roll, but I order everytime I am there (if it's on the special board or not), it is by far the best sushi roll I ever had. Spicy Tuna with fried Shrimp rolled up in it, doesn't get much better than that.
