Calabash Seafood - Mechanicsville

We enjoyed a lovely dinner on Tuesday night. The hush puppies served before the meal were fantastic! For our main course, we had generous portions of catfish and shrimp. They were out of flounder and had to apply a surcharge for the scallops, which they informed us about in advance.

We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, starting with our wonderful server, Victoria. Since it was our first visit, we appreciated her extensive knowledge of the menu and her helpful recommendations, which we gladly accepted. The soup was absolutely divine—adding a bit of hot sauce, as she suggested, took it to the next level. Our entrees were also delicious, and she made sure our glasses were always full, even if it was just water. Although we are from quite far away, if we ever return to this area, we will definitely stop by again. Thank you!

We had our Valentine's dinner there last night, and I was quite disappointed. The broiled scallops were flavorless and seemed like they might have been boiled in butter and water. The potatoes were undercooked, and the she-crab soup was diluted. On the bright side, the hush puppies were still good.

Best seafood meal we have had in a couple of years. This is out of our way, but our regular seafood place near home closed due to COVID. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Calabash Seafood in Mechanicsville. Amazing staff. The service was top notch.

Great good and very friendly and attentive staff!! We went to calabash for the first time on Friday 1/28/22 for my birthday and we will definitely be going back! All of the food was cooked perfectly and drinks were refreshed as soon as they were getting low. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
