Em Gardestuffje - Mechernich

We came across this place while we were looking for a place to collect drinks and snacks at the end of a hike on a cold winter day. It was open at noon on Sunday, which is quite rare in these small German cities. The locals seemed surprised to see us but were very friendly and asked us where we came from, where we wandered and found their little town to our desires. The service was also very good. They only started eating from 18:00, but when we asked the waitress to do so, she said that if we were hungry, she would ask the cook to come earlier and that it would not be a problem at all. Amazing! The menu is typical of the area, carvings, potatoes and so on... Food and drinks are quite cheap. Everything in a nice warm and local place!

Have got an evening dinner despite actually closed kitchen. friendly staff, good easy eating. fried meat on the punlt!

Here the neighborship meets the beer. the frikadellen are recommended and the beer tastes great.

We had been eating 3 times in the last 3 years and eating something went wrong. another may have had some more happiness, I did not.
