Feedback gevenI stayed in Poblado for 2 weeks working away. With dozens of lunch options within steps of my hostel, I decided to try another one every day. This process stopped when I arrived at Almonte for lunch. The most pleasant and friendly host (probably the owner, but not sure) I met in my life (I am 62) described the menu options, and after discovering that I was on a low-carb diet, built a custom lunch for me consisting of a steak and heaping salad with amazing dressing. I also got a very good bean soup that I ordered at my other visits. They make their own sauces. The host has listed all the ingredients for me, there was nothing that came from a chemical plan. After the first time I had lunch there, I came to the conclusion that to keep odds with other places would best be irresponsible, or just stupid. The price range is approximately 35-50K COP (or 7-10 USD at the time of writing). The best so far was grilled chicken breast, which was juicy and soft. Steaks are a challenge. In the US supermarkets, the best steak prices are $50 and per litre. When you see how he didn't charge me near $50, it's safe to close that they don't use top cuts, but they make them as good as it is possible to make them. There are also a few things I have not tried (like Paella) due to my diet, or will be sure to try in the future.
Very good restaurant, led by the owner and very attentive. Menu approx. between 140.000 Pesos and the place is very quiet.
