Nosh Grog - MEDFIELD

I had the longest wait of my life for food at this restaurant. When it finally arrived, the tacos were cold and chewy. The staff continuously lied to us to keep us from leaving early, claiming our food was on the way. I visited last Friday and waited an hour and a half for our entrees to come out. After 45 minutes, I approached the person in charge who claimed to be the owner and assured me the food would be out soon. The service was unacceptable, yet they still insisted we pay full price despite the extreme wait. Other restaurants would have offered a free drink or appetizer for such a delay. When the owner finally emerged from the back, he showed no empathy for our situation and was rude. He made a scene when we requested to have one item removed from our bill. Instead, he expected us to pay for the horrible experience, resulting in a bill over $150 after tax. I have visited many restaurants, but I will never return to this one. I will continue to share my nightmare experience with others until this establishment inevitably shuts down. I feel sorry for the employees who have to work for an owner who clearly does not care about the quality of service provided and is too ignorant to understand how to treat customers properly.

We were impressed by everything at this restaurant. The casual dining experience had exceptional flavors that stood out from the drinks to the dessert and everything in between. The staff were very friendly as well. We will definitely be coming back.

I have visited Nosh Grog multiple times in the past and have had decent experiences there. However, my most recent visit was disappointing. We placed our food orders at 6:45 pm but didn't receive our meals until 8:15 pm, a wait of an hour and a half for upscale pub food. We had to actively seek out our waiter for updates instead of him proactively updating us. The owner/manager offered a half-hearted apology and then disappeared. My friend had to ask three times for a simple Coke before receiving it. The waiter only compensated us for three of our meals after we insisted. The tacos I ordered were mediocre and lukewarm. The burgers and chicken sandwiches were better received, though my lactose intolerant friend's burger came with cheese despite his request for it without. The lack of proper staffing was evident, and the overcrowded restaurant struggled to keep up with orders. I am unlikely to visit this establishment again.

They are understaffed. We waited over an hour and a half for our food three came out stone cold then the last one came out 25 minutes later. They were less than half full. Also some of their prices were outrageous $18 for a 16oz canned beer? Wow.

While visiting the area my buddy invited me out for a drink at Nosh and Grog. The inside of the building is really nice and decorated very well with appealing soft lighting. We sat at the bar and each ordered drinks and my friend ordered a lobsterappetizer from the menu. I ended up trying a piece of the appetizer and was very impressed by the taste and quality. I ended upordering a second drink that the bar tender had invented themselves. They sold me on it and I will definetly be back to orderanother round of that original drink. My friend and I didn't realize it was close to closing time but the staff had no problemletting us stay to finish our drinks and assured us there was no rush and to take our time to wrap up our conversation. Thestaff was quick and very friendly, and also have many good original ideas.
