The portions are moderate and the prices are on the pricey end, but you get what you pay for. Try the lunch buffet for a deal!
We used to be loyal customers, eating there at least once a month. One day my teenage son and I ordered the lunch buffet. It was his idea to have Indian food that day. Everything appeared to be normal when we walked in. We ordered the lunch buffet. I did notice that the food was not up to temperature after we plated our food. In addition to the lunch buffet we ordered some beverages, one of which was a mango lassi for my son. Within 15 minutes, my son complained of a stomach ache. He asked to go outside for some fresh air. We had the same food on our plates so I immediately put his beverage up to my nose. It smelled absolutely rotten. I immediately complained to the waitress. She apologized profusely. She brought it to the attention of the owner of the business. He said that it was fine and that he made it that day. He said that my son was sick when we came in. As a result, she took the lassi off the bill. I quickly left the restaurant (without finishing my lunch) and walked up to a pool of orange puke next to my car. We will never eat there again. My son felt horrible for the rest of the day. Food for thought... Sick kids never want to eat spicy foods.
The location is good but that is about it. I received my drink after asking for it twice yet they were not busy. The meal my husband requested was not what we asked for; we decided to keep our minds open and try it anyway and it was horrible. I always order the same dish at every Indian restaurant; this was a disappointment as well. At the end of our meal, we were charged for the wrong dish although we only took one small taste. We will never return. If you are in Medford India Kitchen is a good choice, or you can always go to Deeps in Ashland.
Do NOT confuse this with the India Kitchen over by Vinnies and Albertsons! Food here is authentic and is made with quality ingredients. Prices are very good, Service is excellent. These are nice people! If you have never had things like Biryani, Tandoori, Pilau etc. now is your chance! Try a Veg. Korma if you lean toward the mild side.
This is the best restaurant I have been to in Medford hands down. Every time I order something new the food exceeds my expectations. The food is not just delicious but also looks great, everything is so colorful. Also, service is amazing! Makes me so happy to have found a place where the servers are so pleasant and do such a great job. Wish I could afford to eat here every week. <3
