Casa Ardeleana - Mediaş

Truly a hidden gem right outside of Mediaş. Excellent food, especially the goulash, sarmale, and any of the pork options. And the mititei are by far the biggest and some of the best in Romania. The service is friendly and attentive, overall excellent. Perfectly peaceful setting to relax. One of the most kid-friendly places we have ever been. We are looking forward to another visit. And definitely try the Dobrogean pie! Superb!

Amazing place!

We had a poor experience here. Ordered the expensive hamburger and the bun was stale. The replacement bun came microwaved. The service took ages. The schnitzel and the stuffed pork chop were unimpressive. Tequila sunrise was bad too.

Worst experience ever! We ordered 15 minutes after arriving. Nothing fancy, just traditional soup, fish (grilled or fried), grilled vegetable and pickle salad. They came after 2.5 hours...something else than what we ordered, the fried fish was raw, the grilled vegetables came after the fish had cooled and only one out of two ordered, the pickle salad did not come at all. Unfortunately, we were not the only ones in this situation.

Descent place to visit for a family dinner. When you finaly get used to that majority of restaurants add french fries where they can (instead of offering potatoes or polenta as the side dish) you will enjoy variety of meats and soups here.
