The chef, Mike, says the menu is just a suggestion do ask for something and he will see if he...has the ingredients to make it. His creations are always star and his dessert…… !! The service is excellent and they have a great selection of local draft beers and the wine menu is superb. On top,of this the decor and setting of the dinning room and lounge is very inviting .
My husband and I had made a reservation the week prior, for the evening of Saturday February expecting to have a lovely meal before heading to the theatre. After spending an hour trying to find the place we finally phoned for directions...while standing on the corner where we thought it should be,only to be told that they were not open. This was extremely disappointing and hard to understand why we were not made aware of this when making the reservation.
Short on time. Lunch today allowed me to work on the fly. Being a member of this club means my meal is added to my month end bill, and i didn't even need to wait around and pay. Steak sandwich with frites. Just the right...amount of everything. Top notch.
A beautiful archaic setting in the present...the building and interior are truly beautiful reminders of past design and splendor...of how Gentlemen of affluence met and dined initially in a bygone era...the staff are social and courteous and the food is delicious...and the beverages' can be...plentiful...it is an experience you will remember for the ambience of the setting...truly beautiful.
We were recently at a function for a group of about that was catered by the Cypress Club. Everything that we had was superb from starters to dessert. We had mini beef wellingtons that melted in your mouth; savoury lamb chops that were so...tender and tasty it was hard not to eat too many of them and the shrimp skewers were just cooked to perfection and wonderfully flavoured. For the main I had the lobster steak and my husband had chicken cordon swiss. Both were excellent dishes with one served with a tasty ceasar salad and the other with a tossed green salad. Both plates had very generous portions. Dessert was a chocolate soup not too sweet but very yummy. Overall the food was fantastic and service was extraordinary. My husband I have eaten at the Cypress Club many times and it is always a fine dining experience. Love it.
