Inexpensive, simple menu, good food, friendly staff.
Nice, reasonably priced burger placeSomewhat crowded around lunch time. The All Star Bacon Cheeseburger was delicious.
We ordered 1) dates on a small salad which ok as 2 of the bacon wrapped dates had pits in instead of almonds 2) cheese & fruit plate with crackers was I felt disappointed with as all the cheese portions were small & found the fruit to be inadequate on the plate 3) charcuterie board had a good selection of local meats, adequate portion of olives, artichoke hearts, & small portion of strawberry/rhubarb compote (which I had to ask what kind of fruit was in it) & small bread portion. 4) the best dish was the sweet potatoe bites & I still felt it needed more seasoning. The interior of the restaurant was dark & could use a brighter wall colour or better lighting (could hardly read the menu & it was still daylight outside). These 4 items came to $60.00 before tax. It was enough for two as but only if one does not eat very much. Restaurant was not busy when we ordered but service from the kitchen seemed slow. We had to wait to get our bill as well even though the staff knew we were not ordering anything else.
Went for the end of jazzfest june 2016 with 2 of my friends. Ordered 2 glasses of wine each a cheese and fruit plate, olives and bread. I felt for the price of the cheese plate there could have been more of the cream cheeses. I felt that the crackers they had were pretty bland. One of the rows were good but the other was kind of stale and not much different. I felt as though the plate was incomplete. I had to add bread for variety. I also had to order an olive appitizer with bread when I feel it should have been apart of the cheese platter. In my opinion if your doing a fruit and cheese platter you want a balance between sweet salty and or a bit of spice. You would want crunch and soft compliments for starches. Maybe instead of two rows of identical they could have had a salty cracker, a fruit cracker or a sample of bread or toasted bread. The dates were a nice texture along with strawberries but i feel there should have been more considering twist is a tapas environment. But the service was great the music was awsome just some tuning of the menu to make sense for ordering would be a huge plus. Look forward to my next visit to try something new
