Grotenburg's Borker Brauhaus

Im November waren wir mit 5 Personen Gänsekeulen und Gänsebrust essenDie Gänsebrust musste vorbestellt werdenBürgerliches Ambiente zum WohlfühlenDie Portionen waren ausreichendDie Gänsekeule und Gänsebrust war etwas zu trocken,die Haut weich und nicht knusprigOhne viele Extrabestellungen haben wir mit 5 Personen ca. 200€ bezahlt.Wir denken, das geht auch kostengünstiger!!!

Typisches Brauhaus Ambiente. Essen, Sülze mit Bratkartoffeln und Wiener Schnitzel, waren OK. Preise leider etwas abgehoben. Wir gehen eher nicht mehr hin.

I visited Grotenburg's with 3 friends recently after a visit to the Christmas market. The restaurant is divided into 2 halves each separated from the other, this keeps the noise levels down. It is a Brauhaus type restaurant with fairly basic decor, wooden tables and chairs.The staff were friendly but because there were 2 larger groups in that evening the kitchen seemed to be over worked. We were told our meal could take some time to be prepared - we had ordered burgers and chips. After further consultation we managed to persuade them to serve us before one of the groups.The meal was tasty. The burger was very well garnished and the chips as I like them, hot and crispy.I would go back in the hope that we only hit a staff shortage on that particular day - it was a Wednesday.
