First Watch - Melbourne

Food was ok, service was great, but man sitting outside on a quiet morning was quite a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

My wife and I enjoyed our meals at First Watch. All the servers seems very nice and everyone had a smile in their face. The service was fast and friendly. Our meals were served hot and in reasonable time. The restaurant closes at 230 so be early if you don’t want to wait a bit. My wife loved her pancakes and biscuits n gravy. The serving were large so we were able to share. We would definitely return for a meal.

If you want to have your drink order taken in under 20 minutes don’t sit outside on the patio. We were one of two tables seated outside at the time. The outside area filled up as we waited for a waiter. Waiters came out and took drink and food orders for every other table with us still having not even given a drink order. Have been witness to this happening to other guests in the past while seated outside.When we handed the menus back to leave and go somewhere where we could get a water in a timely matter the man had no apologies or even a “have a nice day.”

Good breakfast, clean atmosphere nice staff. Just be prepared to spend some bucks when you get the bill.

I'm giving this restaurant a one-star rating solely because my husband and I, being pescatarians, ordered their breakfast wrap and explicitly asked for it to be made meatless. The waitress assured us this was no problem, or else we would have chosen a different dish.Despite our request, upon inspecting the wrap, I didn't initially see any meat at the end. However, to my dismay, I discovered chicken in the middle.The manager's solution was to waive the charge for my meal, but due to time constraints and the restaurant's busyness, I couldn't wait for a remake. We happily paid for the other three meals. However, I can't help but feel that after such a significant mistake, the entire bill should have been comped. Perhaps my expectations are off. Regardless, I would have tipped the waitress as she fulfilled her duties; it was the kitchen staff who made the error. The manager's lack of concern made me suspect that this might be a common occurrence.
