Today we visited friends of Fort Pierce and after the service we went to Cheedar of New Haven RD, Melbourne for lunch. I was thrilled with everything, the service, the food and the price was exceptional. It will certainly be our choice in the future, we will even recommend it to our friends!
Husband and I have chips and salsa/Queso for a starter. The queen was pretty decent. The chips were incredibly salty, as in we had to wipe off some of them before they were okay and others were simply not accessible. The salsa is hard on the cilantro, so if you are one of those where it tastes like soap, best to avoid together. The drinks were good. I had an island Tiki, very sweet, but not too much. He had a pineapple coconut mule that was also decent. Dinner itself was Buffalo Chicken Wraps for me with a loaded baked potato on the side, hubby had the land Fried Steak with green beans and potatoes. The wraps were huge and had good taste, but fell only short of spectacular, I think it was the float as filler that crumbles everywhere, that did it. It had almost too much taste that it fought with the chicken. The loaded baked potato was meh. A bit short to be charged to taste, because I didn't have any sour cream, it was just butter and shredded cheese that didn't really melt into the potato and let me under-whemled. Countey Fried Steak was good. Beautiful bread texture and steak was delicate, but it was missing overall in spices and taste. The smashed potters were fine, but a little more spices would scream again, not. The engraving was heavy on milk or cream taste and overall only tasted. But the green beans were rather than the best taste on the plate. They were tender without being muddy and had really good taste over everyone. Our server was super friendly and while it took a while to operate.... we could understand why as the tables beside us always false items or missing items from their order (not his mistakes, other people from the kitchen were brought out with food that I found strange when they brought our appetizers to the table next to us and served them before the table stopped them and we could let them know that it was ours... While I understand that Saturdays are a busy time for restaurants, the kitchen staff needs a bit more polish and some of the waiting staff. And maybe they should think again that other employees supply food to tables that they are not responsible for not missing items or being brought to the wrong table. Just a thought. So during the evening wasn't a catastrophe, it was just no experience we want to have again, so do what you want.
The service here is excellent, the waitress we had was super prompt and definitely 100% on things. The food was amazing. Our favorite remover was absolutely the honey butter croissants, they were so fresh and light and fluffy, I would probably have lowered a dozen of me, no joke. It is added to the list of places we come back.
We went here for lunch. Our waitress was also our bartender, and she made the drinks really well. I would likely not return as the food is pretty normal yet priced like a higher end restaurant. The cheese bites appetizer were the best part of lunch.
