We expected it to be generously topped with paprika and swirling, but it was difficult to find either. Each slice had just a few thin pieces of paprika and even fewer swirls. The sauce was mediocre—too dark and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The crust was slightly burnt and had a cardboard-like flavor. Our last visit to this restaurant was shortly after it opened, and the food wasn't great then either. Unfortunately, things haven't improved, and this will likely be our last visit.
That was my first brunch in the wine cellar, and it was an absolute success! The brunch kicked off with blood oranges and featured a cooking station where you could enjoy freshly made crepes and omelettes. The crab legs were incredibly fresh and sweet, and the mussels were cooked to perfection. The dessert selection was truly indulgent! I sincerely hope they continue to offer these delightful brunches.
Let's address the culinary landscape of this region, which resembles the sparsity of the Gobi Desert. Given the limited options available, it’s striking how lacking the restaurant scene is. To find a decent selection, you'd likely need to venture to Palm Beach or Orlando, leaving us with few alternatives like Texas Roadhouse and Outback Steakhouse. Now, onto Amici. The ambiance is beautiful, with melancholic, old-school music that pairs perfectly with the dim lighting, creating an authentic Italian atmosphere. The wine list is extensive and impressively priced, featuring some excellent choices, especially as part of the chef's table experience. Interestingly, the bakery next door is run by the same owners, which enhances their culinary offering. The menu is extensive, and while some items are on the pricier side, the quality of the food is outstanding. The flavors are robust, and the dishes are well-seasoned and plentiful. Go there with an appetite, as the portions are generous! While I probably won’t return with my date – as the experience wasn’t particularly rewarding – I would gladly go back with friends. It's a fantastic hidden gem tucked away in a small retail center, and it’s definitely worth a visit!
We've been visiting this establishment for years, but this last time was a stunner. On 4/11/2022, my wife and I stopped in to have a late lunch. She ordered a pizza with sausage and while the pizza, sauce and cheese were good, the sausage was definitely of poor quality. Me, on the other hand, foolishly decided to order the special: braised short ribs over linguini. The two mounds of cooked meat arrived black and tasteless. They tasted as they'd been boiled then baked until the outer part was black. I was ill later that evening and part of the following day. Whoever was the chef didn't bother to look at or taste what was going out of his kitchen and serving that special was bound to make him more than just one enemy! It just very well have cost him two loyal customers. I never complain in the restaurant as to avoid causing a scene.
I stoped in this restaurant because it was near my hotel and I was craving Italian. This place is a gem. Warm and Cozy and consists of three concepts side by side along with a bakery. I ate at the Italian Concept and being alone I sat at the bar. The service was top notch and the food outstanding. I had the gnocchi soritino which was simply amazing! It was served with a side salad. Prices were very reasonable and all the staff were friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Kudos on a great restaurant!
