Stick with the traditional items and you won't go wrong. We loved the Japanese Eggplant dengaku luscious grilled Japanese eggplant was served with miso marinated tofu, and baked with dengaku sauce until it had a supple and soft texture. Together with fluffy rice, this was comfort food at its best.
Service was great, food and price is a different story. Bought the autumn Groupon for 2 and the food wasn’t amazing or anything. Could go to a good local Japanese restaurant to get if not the same, better quality food for less. You get too caught up in the chefs cooking to realise what you’re eating isn’t that great for the price you paid. I didn’t hate it but I feel scammed and won’t be going back.
Love it. One of my go-to-Jap for lunch and dinner. Lovely people and always served with a smile. A bit pricy but it’s a must try contemporary Japanese if that’s what you are craving.
Most of the food here was impeccable, with the MS 9+ wagyu, lobster tail and No 1 special the highlights. Sashimi was fresh. Garlic fried rice was difficult to eat on its own serving it in conjunction with the steak or adding some protein to it might have worked better. Dessert was disappointing, with the half melted ice cream forming a congealed mess atop the crepes underneath they should take the ice cream out at the very last minute. Service was disorganised but friendly providing service at the waiting queue and a menu at the table would be nice. For these prices, I would have also liked to see more chef customer interaction. On occasions I had to ask them what I was eating! Overall great food but a stretch for value even with the online discount.
Amazing friendly service and food! Staff was really attentive. Thanks for a wonderful evening. First time and not the last time. Next to do on the list is to try out teppanyaki ????????????
