Caboose Canteen - Melbourne

Went there for lunch yesterday, service ok, seated prior to rush hour. Steaks only just, and pricey for what you get, burgers too spicy for the average person, and pasta just ok, and very small meals. I'm not a big eater and was still hungry after lunch. One member of our table for 8 and a child, ran across the road and filled up on KFC. Waitress forgot to bring change back to a late arrival, who only had a coffee, not paying $5.00 for a coffee. We wont be back. Sadly we didn't do Brunetti, just beside this venue!

Was walking with the family and saw some tables and chairs outside in the sun. Sat down for food and a drink. Wasn't too hungry so had the ploughmans plate. Wife had the pasta of the day which came with a glass of wine.

Dropped in for a quick breakfast this morning. Food average at best but the place really needed to be swept out from the night before. Lots if other great places within a couple of hundred metres.

We dined in for a quick lunch on a Friday. Service was very polite and attentive. My husband's wagu burger and fries was a hit, the burger being cooked to perfection and very flavoursome overall. My fish stew with sourdough bread had a beautiful deep flavour - very enjoyable! All washed down with a nice house red. Will visit again!

Went there for lunch and ordered the bruschetta and what I got was pretty disappointing. Two pieces of bread with two slices cooked tomatoes followed by mozzarella had no flavor and it was very blend. I definitely wouldn't come back here.
