We also tried a piadina with goat's cheese, pumpkin, and leek, which had a pleasant sweetness to it when toasted. Overall, the food was simple yet tasty, as Italian food should be. They offer a variety of pasta dishes as well, although we did not have a chance to try them.
I went to this restaurant for lunch and usually opt for the pasta because they offer both chili oil and very fresh parmesan. I have to say, the tomato-based sauce I ordered was delicious, but I found it a bit too pricey for a work lunch.
I really enjoy the fact that this restaurant provides chili in oil and Parmesan cheese with a grater on every table. It adds a lovely Italian touch. The express lunch was fresh and simple. The hearty pasta and lentil soup was a perfect winter dish for me, while my friend enjoyed his risotto.
Lovely selection of food. Fast friendly service. But be prepared to pay a heavy $17 for plain pasta with some eggplant. This was a shock price tag for a simple lunch. After all the place is jut a cafe not a speciality Italian restaurant.
Better than your usual express lunch cafe in the city. Coffee can be a bit hit and miss but the pastas and panini's are much better than you find close by.
