Cafe Saffron - Melbourne

Dated, daggy and funny looking. That was my first thought but this is a family run indian restaurant that is managed with lots of pride I'm terms of what comes out of the kitchen. Please, please order the leg of Lamb. Slow cooked and literally just peels off the bone. Absolutely amazing and such good value. The turmeric potatoes were strange but addictive (because I don't normally have turmeric). The husband and wife here are full of fun and will help you or cater something to your taste. Give it a shot!!

We came in for dinner on Easter Saturday after some deliberation about whether to remove the slippers, SO GLAD WE DID!! Food was absolutely amazing, as always and the service was faultless. No wonder they're still here after 22 years. Highly recommended.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Great service and delicious food. Try the eggplant curry and the coconut chicken baked in a coconut shell. Our family go to. Prices are mid to high but it's worth it.

Friendly staff and great service. We enjoyed a great meal with beautiful flavors. There was a large range to choose from and catered for those that enjoyed meat, fish nd vegetarian dishes. Would definitely go back.
