Food was ok. We ate vegetarian dishes. Didn't like the place because of hygienic factor. Service was good.
Tried this biryani joint and I was impressed by its quality. Had the chicken biryani (they offer 2 types-- chicken and goat) and I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic taste. The rice was light and well spiced -- which to me -- is the key to a well cooked biryani. I am most fearful of oil soaked rice! The accompanying chicken was very good! It was sooo tender. Yum. This rates better than another biryani I had at a (popular) Indian joint located near Flinders Station. It costs slightly more here, (under 15 aud) but standards are better. However, they forgot what most authentic indian joints add to their biryani -- a boiled egg! :)
Visited this restaurant about five six times during our stay in Melbourne , we where a group of six and each one of us could get something of our choice, it was conveniently located as we were staying on the Collins street.menu was decent with a mix of both South Indian and North Indian, vegetarians also had some good options. In a place like Melbourne you cannot expect something better than this.Food served on to your table only for dinner, for lunch its self service. If you are craving for Indian food especially with some South Indian options, definitely you won't go wrong.
This was a place we tried 2 years ago and when we went back last month it was still as good. We actually ate here 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed in Melbourne.Would definitely recommend their dosa's which were crisp and well cooked. The biryani too was good. We also tried the egg pakodas and a really hot paneer entrée.Service is fast and the place can get quite busy.
