We went with friends, and ordered mostly Hungarian food (but with bhaji and pappadums just so we could say we had eaten Indian Hungarian food!). Our meals were delicious and the service was excellent. The prices are not super cheap but are very good, and drinks are very reasonable. Serving sizes are generous.I particularly recommend the langos Hungarian garlic bread, as well as the donuts. Absolutely delicious. We will be back.
These guys took over the Diamond restaurant about 6 months ago according to our maitre de - if that's what you call his role in Indian or Hungarian , and what is it with our neighbours all calling their establishment a Diamond this or that? But that's another story The restaurant is clean fresh and hospitable and the back story - the chef and his wife served their first 12 years in an Hungarian restaurant so their culinary skills transgress the continent and it gives a refreshing opportunity for those not inclined to take the spice trail and dine on the variety of schnitzels or chorizo dishes whilst those with a hot palate can dine on the traditional Indian fareSo it was with trepidation we ventured into the Indian / Hungarian establishment but enjoyed our meals in which we shared and had 2 types of each cuisine Indian Hungarian tomato tomaato - as they say but get on down and enjoy - reasonably priced - home spun hospitality and take your pick I enjoyed my Kingfisher as much as the meal so Don't judge a book by its cover or its name
I've been looking for the best Indian restaurant in Australia and this is easily the worst I have come across. Twice I have had take- away from here and the food has been repulsive. I get the impression they recycle old food thought the takeaway channel. On both occasions the kebabs were dry and tasteless and seemed like they had been cooked previously and reheated. Last time the chicken curry was all sauce and no chicken. I only live across the road but recommend everyone avoid this place.
Called in for a curry take away and whilst not totally disappointed was not greatly inspired by what I got. It was what was described but it just did not have anything else about it. Will look around when next I need a take away curry.
We had to go searching for a new Indian and after a couple of tries ended up at this establishment. Don't let the lack of patrons put you off the food is very very good.the service is efficient and friendly while being professionalYou must try1. Gol gappa. Most delicious little mouth popping surprise2. Goat curry3. Fish coconut curryYum yum
