Feedback gevenWe dined here last night and I can't wait to go back!We've eaten a lot of Indian food in Melbourne and I'm usually prepared for a heavy oily meal. At Diamond Indian the chef is trying to change Indian cuisine so that the meals are all fresh, individually prepared and not oily. We had Gol Gappa for entre (flavour explosions in my mouth! and two vegetarian dishes including delicious potatoes stuffed with fruit and cheese in a amazing cashew creamy sauce. We asked for the curries to be extra spicy and they came out nice and hot! A nice change from other restaurants that don't believe you if you want it hot. It's so great to find an Indian Restaurant where all the curries taste fresh and different and the chef is clearly passionate about the cuisine.Can't recommend it enough!
We've been to Diamond on numerous occasions. The food and service has been 1st class since it opened.Best Indian food in Melbourne. Highly recommended for lovers of Indian cuisine!

Rating: 3.5. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, even though there was a bit of a wait for our meals to be prepared. I absolutely loved the sztrapacska (dumplings); they were new to me, and I really enjoyed the subtle sour notes in the dish. The chicken schnitzel was tender on the inside, though slightly overcooked on the edges. The beef goulash was flavorful, but just a heads-up—it comes with mashed potatoes instead of dumplings, as depicted in the online photos. The service was friendly.
Last night, my family and I enjoyed dinner at Diamond Indian and Hungarian, and it was amazing! We ordered dishes from both menus, and everything was delicious with great food presentation. I particularly loved the garlic naan and the Hungarian langosh, which is also referred to as garlic naan. The restaurant itself was clean and beautifully decorated, and the service was excellent. Thank you, Diamond team!
