Some people leave food but even vegetables I eat it until there’s nothing left. Staff keep coming back to take away. I’m not sure if they are over staffed and don’t have anything else to do.
Din tai fung in Miranda is better, it’s less crowded and food is the same quality as the city store. <br/ <br/ The drunken chicken is really yummy. The dumplings are still soupy and satisfying. The beef noodle soup tasted a little like msg but the noodles were well-cooked.<br/ <br/ Had a good experience overall.
Been a while since I 've been to Din Tai Fung, and this was my first time in Miranda. Had the pork xiao long bao, which was really good as usual. Also tried the crab meat and roe xiao long bao, which I couldn 't say I really enjoyed, it smelt like crab that 's not at their most fresh. The potstickers were excellent, and I loved the shrimp fried rice, was tasty and had 'wok hei '. The pork and shrimp shao mai were nice, but nothing spectacular. Also tried the Chinese New Year sweet dog buns. Loved the flavour (chocolate! , however, the consistency of the filling was a bit strange, nothing like the smooth consistency usually found in sweet buns. Overall, it was a good meal, left our stomachs full but our wallet lighter.
Before I came here for lunch I wasn't sure about the quality of the place. Usually the original flagship store is always good and the subsequent franchise lack a bit is something. But this place is just as good as the original in the city and the lines are not as long.<br/ <br/ For lunch we had pork and vegetable wontons in spicy sauce, beef and truffle fried rice, water spinach in garlic and chili fried chicken. Everything was just like Din Tai Fung is known for. The food has flavour in a delicate way. So delicious.
The staff at DIn Tai Fung Miranda are very friendly <br/ and always willing to help with the menu.<br/ <br/ The restaurant it's self is bright and very welcoming.<br/ <br/ Best Dumpling! <br/ Din Tai Fung are always consistent across all of their restaurants and Din Tai Fung Miranda is no exception.
