Fugu Fish Bar - Melbourne

It has been a while since I last visited this fish and chip shop, but it was definitely worth it. Even during lockdown and being so close to home, I was impressed. The menu has undergone some significant changes since my first visit, and my kids were thrilled with the amazing potato cakes. The serving size was just right, with a Fish Bay Pack being enough for a small family. We decided to add some extras like potato cakes, and the service was quick this time. The food arrived very hot, and I had to hold my kids back from devouring it. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place, and I even ordered delivery for the second time in just two days.

I just discovered my new favorite spot for fish and chips! I ordered a variety of dishes and was very impressed with the overall quality. The fried flake had a crispy batter, was not too greasy, the fish was juicy and delicious. The calamari rings were perfectly crumbed and the salt and pepper calamari had large, well-marinated chunks of calamari. The premium cheese burger had good buns, a tasty beef patty, fresh veggies, and was overall very delicious. The soft shell crab burger had a less crispy batter, but a generous portion of crab. The Greek salad was surprisingly very good with a lovely marinade. However, the balsamic vinegar overwhelmed the beetroot feta and rocket salad. All the sauces were excellent, especially the spicy aioli on the beef burger.

Delicious!! We ordered the couple's pack and they served the items on two plates when we dined in. Everything was perfectly seasoned and wonderfully crunchy, no complaints at all! Will definitely go back to try their shakes and other menu items!

Fugu is an awesome spot for both fish chips burgers. A unique, creative menu, high quality food, prepared by passionate people. The smashed wagyu beef patties are literally to die for, the housemade sauces are out of this world tasty! Another must try is the housemade dim sims best i've ever had..not to mention they do the crispiest fried chicken

Smashed patties were amazing and so was the Mac and cheese croquet. And definitely try the house made Big Mac sriracha sauce.
