We were thrilled to try Henrietta's, the hipster version of our beloved neighborhood chicken shop, and it did not disappoint! Located in a laneway off Flinders Lane, the restaurant was surprisingly spacious and had a very Melbourne vibe. We tried the chicken poutine and hot hennie burger, both of which were delicious. The house made chips with chicken salt were especially amazing. We enjoyed everything and look forward to returning to try the chicken next time.
Walk past everyday and only got around to trying it now. Everything was super delicious and flavoursome except for the roast chicken, which was also a bit on the dry side.
Chicken burger started on the menu today! Chook, slaw, Swiss cheese, jalapeños and aioli. The chicken was a little crunchy so so good. Especially with wine and mates. Yay :D I'll be back!
I have visited Henrietta's multiple times in the past four months since moving to Melbourne and the food has always been consistently delicious. My partner and I usually order the half chicken, potato salad, and slaw as sides, which is more than enough for the both of us. We prefer not to order the packs as we found them to be too much food and it ended up going to waste. Personally, I enjoy the lemony flavor of the dishes at Henrietta's.
