I decided to stop by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious bao skins and flavorful dumplings. While I felt a bit self-conscious watching the woman in the window prepare a variety of dishes, I overall enjoyed my meal. Noodle Kingdom is just one of many Asian restaurants in the area, but the competition keeps the quality high. I would recommend this spot for a quick and satisfying meal, although it may not be a top culinary experience. The restaurant offers dine-in and takeout options, and is also wheelchair accessible and kid-friendly.
We made a mistake electing to eat here, in do much competition. Each dish was tasteless, overshadowed by strong oil tastes. It isn’t cheap, staff were disinterested generally and we very much regretted our experience.
We went to Noodle Kingdom Swanston St. for dinner last night. We ordered fried pork dumplings (OK, nothing special), brisket with flat noodles (noodles were a little thick) and Chinese broccoli (excellent). However, the ambiance was poor. The soundtrack to our dinner was a mix of classic rock from the '80 's '90 's. The interior colour scheme is matt black. I believe the restaurant is the former site of the Shaft adult cinema..if so, that would explain the interior colour scheme. Considering how many other excellent eateries are nearby, I don 't think we 'll be back.
I was recommended this Melbourne restaurant for authentic cuisine and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was quick.
After searching for the best noodles in town and reading some great reviews about Noodle Kingdom, we decided to give it a try. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our noodles arrived quickly and were delicious, and the dumplings were also very good. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in search of some tasty noodle soup at a reasonable price.
