Had brunch at this little quaint cafe, recommended to us! Its a nice local place, not easy to get to but defo worth the trip!Coffee is so good, and the food is very very delish!Yummy wagyu burger and we had also the awesome chipotle omelette with avo and cheese. One of the nicest brunches around. Staff are also very friendly and service is quick. Defo recommend this place for breakfast/brunch! :)

Lawson Grove Shop is one of South Yarra's best kept secrets - indeed, I almost hesitate to review it here, to selfishly keep it to myself! Historically, I believe, it was originally built as a kitchen which serviced the apartments such as 'Beverly Hills' in the area - I supposed those apartments were filled then, as now, with many singles - in those days probably men, who did not or could not cook. They could order their meals from this kitchen. I recall in the 1990's it was a milkbar and now it is the wonderful Lawson Grove Shop - the most divine, tucked away breakfast and lunch café, providing delicious home style meals to locals in a relaxed and cosy environment. you will see people quite happily on their own, lingering over lunch with a newspaper, or working away on a laptop. Couples enjoying a lunch made to feel romantic simply by the dark, warm environment. Service is so friendly, one could be sitting in one's own kitchen; faces are remembered and greeted warmly. The menu is not large, but everything on it is excellent. A true local gem
