Wonderful food, the share platter was yummy . Very nice staff. Will come again. Great find and so close to our apartment.

Warm relaxed but attentive staff wait on you - quick service.Will suit all tastes of mild to hot spicy tastes but still captures balance and authentic flavours.Reasonable options on the menu to choose set menu or alacarte select your choice.Nice selection of Naan bread - made fresh.Mid-range price - fully licensed.

The staff were very helpful and friendly but the food was appalling we ordered vegetable pakora and onion bhaji entrée which half of it went into my jacket pocket then the chicken Tikka masalla & butter chicken was the same flavor and full of gristle the only thing that was really edible was the garlic Naan. . Never go back there again it was very disappointing .. from walking through the door to leaving it was all over in 40 minutes. . As we walked back through the park i tried to feed the possums the pakora and even they turned their noses up at it. All in all the worst curry i have ever been confronted with. ..

I was made homesick by this restaurant. I am from Central London arguably home to Indian Food. I had a Tikka Jalfrezi, rice, naan and a side. Plus of course a nice cold beer. Getting hungry even talking about it. Tasty, hot and hit the spot. My only concern is that back in the UK most dishes are served with breast meat, but here in Australia its always thigh (which is actually a tastier cut). This wasn't a problem here. loved it!!Decor good, staff attentive and busy mix of customers. Restaurant is local to my work so its now going to be an issue for me. Just to put this in context. I have eaten in five Indian restaurants here in Melbourne. Two I actually walked out of the food was so poor. This place however is the real deal!! Had a long chat to the waiter and he knew his stuff, knew why I wanted a Tikka Jalfrezi as opposed to just a Jalfrezi, recommended the beer. The service was excellent.

We love Indian food. We have travelled widely in India and are originally from the UK - and we know a good curry! The food we had at the Taj was stunning, fresh and home cooked style! Donot hesitate to come here! Good ambiance and well priced wine list too!
