We arrived at the restaurant late in the evening and quickly had a meal. The food was much better than we anticipated. As we are familiar with Indonesian cuisine, we found the flavors to be very similar. The restaurant was not very busy, possibly due to the late hour. The service was a bit slow in terms of getting our food, but overall we were satisfied with our experience and would recommend it.
This restaurant offers authentic and delicious Malaysian food at affordable prices. It's a quick and convenient option for those exploring Melbourne and craving Malaysian cuisine. It's a great pit stop for a taste of Malaysia.
I was in the wall by chance. it is located in a small street from the bourke street mall. I know that the restaurant was in the same situation in the last 31 years, I think I spoke to the owner. sally tang was described as a bit of a battle axt by reviewers on other websites, but was chatting with me). most of the elements on the menu were appearing at A$9.90, the hainanese chicken rice is what the restaurant is best known and the owner suspected that this is what I would order. to be pervert, I ordered the beef return on white boiled rice. the rendang was excellent although a teeny something too sweet for my lust. I'm trying to come back to taste her hainanese chicken or roti chanai and curry. for the hungry traveling on a budget this restaurant will give them an authentic taste of malaysia that sticks to their ribs and not break the bank! for the demanding lover of the Malaysian cuisine, this place is a well kept secret. but, come early as I was informed that the restaurant closed at 16 o'clock.
Made by the real deal and tastes like it should. Reasonable prices for what it is - cheap fast eats! Good pit stop for anyone wondering Melbourne and feel like a bit of Malaysia.
