Phil's bake house and coffee

I joined the queue to order and saw the range on offer. There were sandwiches pre-made and made to order, roast meats, pastries, cakes and coffee. I chose a vegetable pastie to dine in and coffee. The pastie was a good size and well priced, but the Lavazza coffee was a bit bland and not to my taste.

I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and nowadays I usually get takeout. I always ask for cold drinks so that I can take the delicious Curried Vegetable pasties home for lunch. They are absolutely the best - flavorful, spicy, and packed with vegetables. I have dined in a few times in the past and usually enjoyed a pastie and decent coffee. I also recommend their regular vegetable pasties and sausage rolls. This place is very popular among locals and tradespeople. They offer a wide range of baked goods, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and more.

Phil's Bakehouse is the perfect choice for those looking for a non-hipster option in Westgarth. It stands out for its simplicity in offerings, layout, and style, attracting a loyal and dedicated following. We chose to sit at one of the outdoor tables on High Street, even though my seat was next to a wheelie bin - not a problem at all. The coffees we ordered were enjoyable, well-made, and served with a friendly attitude and a warm smile. Plus, they were reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? We were intrigued by the Greek food options available, which looked delicious and reasonably priced. We definitely plan on returning to Phil's Bakehouse in the future.

You have a fantastic selection of pies to choose from at this restaurant. I highly recommend trying their Pepper Steak pie - it's a must-try! What's even better is that they don't charge extra for sauce. The service is excellent, whether you choose to dine in or take your order to go. Overall, you can't go wrong with this place.

Always friendly, always fresh pastries, pies, home made moussaka or zucchini fritters, great to unwind in the relaxed atmosphere.
