Good food, shame the owner is so rude! great location opposite the south melbourne markets. Owner is Locked in scarcity mentality

This is the place that the locals go to and the owner puts reserved signs on the tables so he can make sure he has spots for his regulars So don't be put off if you see a reserved sign, ask for a spot. Of course it could actually be reserved and you can ring ahead.The breakfast is very good, it looks great and tastes great every time. Priced well for the quality - I would recommend this as a destination cafe and visit the market whine you are done.South Mebourne is famous for its breakfast and you often need to wait for 30 minutes to get a seat at places but you can leave your number and have a look around if that happens.Yum

Whilst visiting Melbourne recently I was taken here by friends for breakfast before tackling the South Melbourne Markets. What a great choice. Friendly and relatively attentive staff. The breakfast menu is not extensive but has some interesting and appealing options. Coffees were also of good quality and well made. The kids and adults in our party certainly enjoyed our choices. Flavoursome and fresh would be my summary and I would definitely return.

We are very lucky to live in Melbourne and be able to visit Qeleven on a regular basis for breakfast, great food, and always pushing the boat out with new choices on the specials.Being opposite South Melbourne market, you are able to go and visit the market before or after great food

We have been eating at Qeleven for many years now and have always been very impressed with their food. We mainly eat brunch there. Their Brekkie Burger is a reincarnation of the No1 Pannini, which has been my favourite and its new incarnation the Brekkie Burger is my new favourite. But there is so much more on the menu...a taste adventure.We love this place and will come back each year on our visits to Melbourne and look forward to sometime in the future when we are living in Melbourne again and can get back into the weekly ritual of doing our shopping at South Melbourne Market and having our brunch at QEleven.One word of advice, we are not alone in our admiration of this great restaurant, so get there early or be prepared to wait a short while for a table. Barry annd his front of house team make every effort to seat you ASAP, but they are popular.
