I recently had some of the best Thai food at this restaurant. The dishes were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The food was prepared quickly and at a reasonable price. I was happy to see that even the noodle dishes were packed full of fresh vegetables, unlike some places where you only get noodles. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
The service at Royal Orchard Thai was friendly, with both male and female staff assisting me. I ordered the Royal crispy fish salad, which had a satisfying crunch and a mix of shaved apple, onion, and cooked cashews. The fish was tasty, but there were only five pieces on the plate, which I finished quickly. The chicken in stir-fried yellow curry with vegetables had a strong flavor, though it seemed like a generic sauce used for all stir-fried dishes. The dish had a good amount of fish and vegetables, with a normal taste on the chicken and a slightly overpowering sauce. The small coconut rice was delicious and standard, and the green tea Sencha tea bag complemented the meal well. The total bill came to $50, and overall, Royal Orchard Thai is a decent place with some alright dishes. Just note that the ratio of vegetables to meat is about 2:1. It's a good spot for catching up with an old friend.
I've had Royal Orchid twice now and both times it's been exceptional. The staff are really friendly and one time I forgot to mention I wanted coconut rice and they changed it quickly and without hesitation. The red curry is my top pick, so creamy and delicious.
Really some of the best Thai food going around. Quality is really good with this dishes never having a whole heap of oil sitting at the bottom. Had the Penang Beef which was exceptional, flavours were first class and always are here. Consistent performer.
