We were a party of 4. 3 of opted for the Dumplings, which was nothing short of perfection. Highly recommend the Zuccini Fried Dumpling.

This is serious the worst Chinese food I have ever had and I am even a fussy eater. My partner and myself ordered three dishes , (sour chilli chicken, fried chicken wings and something else) they were all bland, uncooked and not fresh. The chicken was boiled and we could taste the chicken, all three dishes were tasteless. You could buy a frozen pack from woolies and it would still taste better than this. We both walked out feeling disgusted and wasted our money and time. This is not proper Chinese food and you can also say not even proper food.

I brought six friends here for a quick meal while in the city for a girls night. They found a table for us and service was pretty fast. Fish dumplings were fantastic as were the others. Dumpling skins were just thin enough. Good selection for my vegetarian friend as well. Cheap as chips but really tasty! We will definitely return! Highly recommend!

I was recommended to visit Shandong Mama Mini by a friend of mine who prides himself on knowing the best dumpling places in Melbourne. He definitely got it right here. If you're looking for the Melbourne lane way experience, this is it! I personally found it fun to sit in the tiny store and people watch while I waited for my lunch. There was a little bit of a wait, but that was to be expected during a busy lunch rush. The staff were friendly, but it was a little bit hard to communicate with them. I had the lamb dumplings which were super tasty and some of the pulled pork bao. Everything was very tasty and fresh. The selection of craft beers is impressive, sourcing a variety of different breweries. It was nice to have a good beer with some good food. I would have liked to have table water offered to me, but overall it didn't dampen my experience. Would definitely visit again if I found myself in the city and seeking a solo dumpling adventure.
