Yum Yum Dumplings - Melbourne

A nice, simple yet clean dumplings spot where you can eat your many plates of dumplings without a line of hangry people staring at you from outside. Never any trouble with booking a table and after they rang to cofirm my booking for 15 and found out it was for my birthday they decorated the table with a tablecloth and decorations which was so kind. Byo is always a plus too! Pork and chive dumpling are always a fave as are the vegetable.

The pork and chives fried dumplings were very good. But the lamb skewers was tough and dried. The homemade noodles were okay not great. Service was very average.

Seriously! $58 between the four of us for lunch! How can you beat that? That included; * Prawn and Pork Steamed, * Pork Fried, * Their amazing Vegetarian, * Salt and Chilli Squid, * Chicken and Prawn Wontons* Green TeaWe love it there!!! Very busy Mon to Fri lunchtime. Get there before 12.30pm.

Staying in Melbourne for a week. So many places to eat! Wanted dumplings. Definitely not disappointed. Pork and chive dumplings delicious. Husband had fish flavoured pork dish. Also lovely. In hindsight should've looked at the pictures first. So many things to choose from!! My choice of chicken noodles not spicy enough but still nice. My choice of dish. Not theirs! Good decor. Tables for two although I guess they could be joined. There were people eating on their own and a few take aways. Made me think good after work place to eat. Would definitely go there again. Lovely people running it

Cassidy – I had lunch here with a friend, we got some chicken & prawn dumplings, pork & chive dumplings, and some special fried rice. I quite liked the pork dumplings, and the rice was nice. The chicken dumplings were ok but I probably wouldn’t bother ordering them again. The service was bit all over the place – they were nice, but things weren’t spot on, such as we ordered a soft drink that never came, and there was a bit of an argument about that when it came to the bill; they put a bottle of water on our table for us, and somewhere along the line it vanished; the cups they gave us – plastic cups like a kid would use – were dripping wet, not hot as if they’d just came out of a washing machine, dripping as if they’d just been rinsed off so I was seriously questioning the cleanliness of them. We were initially seated right near the cash register so were getting knocked around by people walking past constantly. We moved one table over to be against the wall, of which a small ledge on it had a thick layer of dust right at eye level, again, a little off putting. If I was going to go back here, I would do it on the basis of takeaway (if that’s an option, not 100% sure on this).
