The Sugar Loaf - Melton Mowbray

The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was delicious with good portion sizes. It may not be ideal for children, but it was perfect for our intimate Valentine's dinner.

I hadn't been to this pub in many years, but decided to have lunch there while passing by. They offer smaller portion sizes upon request, and I enjoyed a delicious lasagna with a very fresh salad in a small size. My husband had a fantastic, chunky gammon steak. Everything was served hot and fresh. We will definitely be visiting again.

Alright, a little backstory - the last time I visited Sugar Loaf was in 2004. It was for my grandmother's funeral when she lived nearby. We stopped by just for a bowl of chips. 18 years later, I brought my children, who are now 8 and 2, to enjoy the same bowl of chips that I used to love. The pint was good and the chips were just as delicious as I remembered. I have many fond memories of Sugar Loaf and I am grateful for the fantastic food. 5 stars.

Excellent place with freshly cooked meals, great friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere

A lovely lunchtime meal. Tables spread out nicely, beautiful food and clean surroundings. Would definitely recommend to friends.
