I randomly got off in Memmingen because I was hungry. Followed signs for the center of town and parked my car. I wandered around for a few minutes and then came across this delightful restaurant situated beside the canal. They were most gracious...I only speak...English and some Italian....and were happy to explain their dishes to me. I tried their regional plate with three different dishes....all very good and fresh. For dessert, I had their apple dessert, which was obviously freshly made. The apples were not overcooked and had a lot of flavor. I did not have any wine here, as I was driving, so I cannot comment on that.

If you want to have a nice meal in a side street (normally side streets offer you nice little restaurants known by local people there you can eat better, nicer, cheaper), on the banks of Bach Canal (or a small river) go here and...have specialities or international food, at a reasonable price, nice service.

Nice setting, attentive service. The quality of the food was superb. A must go when passing through Memmingen

The location and the restaurant itself is nicely located and the accommodation traditional German style. Now , when you go and dine there : Do not try anything exotic the chef wants but cannot cook it . Stay Schwaebisch or Bavarian... specially the Wienerschnitzel which is excellent.
