I absolutely love this place! The food is incredibly delicious, and the flavors really make me want to come back for more!

I had to wait about 35 minutes in line to place my order, but it was definitely worth it. After ordering, I waited just 10 minutes for my food to arrive at the table. I went for the “SM Dark with Medium Hot Level Leg/Thigh Quarter, along with two sides, bread, and pickles, all for $8.50 (including tax and tips). I also ordered an extra side of Black Eyed Pea Salad for just $1, which is a great deal for those getting a plate. The chicken was delicious! The skin was crispy and packed with spicy flavor, while the meat was juicy and tender. The medium level of heat was perfect for me—I wanted to savor the true taste of the chicken without overwhelming spice. The sides were equally satisfying; my favorites were the Southern Greens and Mac and Cheese, and I enjoyed trying the Black Eyed Pea Salad as well. This new location is spacious, allowing for more seating than the always-crowded original location in Nashville, which often has long lines. On this pleasant day with a temperature of 22°C (74°F), the outdoor seating was a nice option too. Just a heads up, parking can be a challenge since this chicken is a local favorite, but being in a residential area means street parking is usually available. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who seemed genuinely invested in providing a great experience. I highly recommend trying their hot chicken (you can opt for Southern No Heat if you prefer to avoid spicy food). Don’t miss out on this gem when you're in Memphis or Nashville!
