Hi Tone - Memphis

The atmosphere is fantastic when live bands perform. It's a small venue, but the people are amazing!

My friends met a guy giving out free acid. Seemed pretty cool, I guess.

I'm older than the normal crowd haven't been to HiTone in years; I came to see my grandson's band play, Radar Blips. I loved the atmosphere, the people customers AND staff and just everything! Everyone was having a great time on this 4th of July including me!

There open mic comedy night on Tuesdays is great, a lot of funny comedians, The Good Vibes comedy Festival ran by Nate Jaxon is AMAZING . The shows are always amazing from metal bands to hiphop they have it all.

I can't say enough about the ole' Hi-Tone. I'm a 37 year old metal head, and it's a wonderful place to catch local/touring acts at an affordable price. Most shows are $10-15 a person for 3-5 hours worth of good tunes and times. The drinks are reasonable for a bar/venue. I've never had the food.....shocking I know, but I can't lie and say I have. It says all ages or to be determined for the upstairs room and downstairs is 21+ for the small room. However, I feel they're very loose on the age thing. I've seen 15-20 year olds in the audience several times downstairs. I've never had a problem with them tho as far as drama goes and I've never seen underage drinking going on....so kudos to the bartenders. It's very family friendly for a bar....I know that sounds weird but it's true. There is a very comfortable, at ease feeling about I wish they had more brutal, prog, and tech metal bands to play the venue, but I still adore this place. The local scene is fierce you can feel the camaraderie in the air Huge fan hi-tone! Keep doing you baby!
