We decided to order the soup, but it arrived cold. The waitress simply suggested microwaving it for a minute to warm it up. I ordered the half rack of ribs with shrimp, but unfortunately, the shrimp was missing from my plate. The coleslaw was overly sweet and I couldn't stomach it. The french fries were limp, and my partner's baked potato was cold. My advice would be to let go of the incompetent waitress. She didn't even clear our soup plates before bringing out our main course. I ended up only eating the ribs and leaving behind the fries and dreadful coleslaw.
The breakfast staff at Lynchburg Legends truly enhanced our stay. The breakfast host was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and observant, standing out amongst other hotels during the challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic. The server provided great service with helpful answers and hot coffee. The food was deliciously prepared, regardless of our requests. The ladies at Lynchburg Legends restaurant truly made our stay memorable.
I requested a draft beer by the large name on the spigot. Apparently the bartender only knew it by the much smaller name on the top which I honestly could not read from my vantage point. I think she could’ve used a little imagination and shortened the time it took me to order. Food is OK. They have to go somewhere else to get change. The pecan pie was soggy. Unfortunately, during all of my visits I seem to be underwhelmed.
3 of us ate here for their Thanksgiving Buffet since it offered a wide range of items and was far cheaper than the spread put on by the Peabody. They are not set up very well to handle a huge number of people in regard to traffic flow. We were all crammed up at the hostess stand and the buffet area was on the other side of the restaurant where everyone had to walk through by the front door. I think they should have spaced out the reservation times so that there weren't as many guests arriving at the same time. They should have had more servers to man the buffet areas. We got there at 1:00 and it looked like a war zone and not very appealing even if the food was okay. By the time we went for dessert, there weren't a lot of choices and as I stated, the area was messy with crumbs and mostly empty pie tins scattered around. Some of the food was lukewarm since they didn't have warmers underneath the containers. The green bean casserole tasted old, like it was made the day before and left to sit out for hours. We managed to find some things we felt were decent since they had so much to choose from, but at least half of it was minimal at best.
Not liking scrabled eggs, I asked if I could get an omelette, even though I was having the buffet. No mention of an extra carge ad when the bill came, there was a substantial upcharge. The service was non-existent!
