Feedback gevenThe kids and I enjoyed breakfast here two days in a row. The service was exceptional. The hotel provided with free buffet passes but that didn't stop the staff for going above and beyond. The first day they gave my daughter bread to outside and feed the ducks. They made her feel very special. The food was your basic buffet I wouldn't say it was anything special but the staff was great. We would go back just because we treated right.
While sitting at the bar I ordered an appetizer which was suggested by the bartender. Crab cakes. Oh they were good. Fresh not frozen. Nicely made and very good. I also really liked the sauces served with it. I will say I was impressed with the pickled green tomatoes served with it. But that may just be me. I recommend them to anyone wanting to have a good appetizer while staying at the hotel.
Great food but SLOW and FREEZING. Bring a blanket. It is in the Hilton so they have a captured audience. I didn't feel like leaving the hotel after working so I ate here two nights in a row. Food was always fabulous, of course overpriced because it is in the hotel so to be expected. I ordered a Filet Steak and it was amazing and cooked perfect. Service was perfect but it was annoying to hear the phone ringing non stop as they took room service orders. Perhaps re-think that the hostess does that and is aimed at the dining area. Bring a blanket it was freezing. They tried to make it warmer but with no luck. That was the first night. The second night I brought co-workers and I grabbed every coat and sweater I had in my room and told them to do so, we bulked up and threw the extras over our legs and still froze...management you need to fix that. Service was great, staff was great, food was great. Just cold and slow as I could see the restaurant was empty but they were obviously serving a ton of room service customers. Maybe order in your room where you can control the temperature and get food faster. I have ordered at the bar on the main lobby level and you can eat there with a better temperature but the bartender leaves to get the food and then leaves everyone at the bar without service for 10 minutes. Then you're the bad guy...another staffer to run food upstairs and take room service orders may help with this problem.
A hidden gem of a place for lunch or breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. Definitely check this place out.
The food was satisfactory. I opted for the breakfast buffet, which was supposed to feature an omelette station, but it wasn't set up. Thankfully, my fantastic server, Pat, kindly prepared one for me, and it turned out to be quite delicious. However, the pastries were somewhat dry, as if they had been out for a couple of days. The view was beautiful, especially on a rainy morning when I could see the fountain outside. I also ordered a wedge salad, which surprisingly took a lengthy 30 minutes to arrive, considering it didn't require any cooking. The service was excellent, and the prices were fair. If the weather had been nicer, I would have preferred to venture out and try some of the amazing restaurants in Memphis instead of eating at the hotel. Overall, it's a pretty average hotel restaurant.
