South Main Sushi Grill - Memphis

South Main Sushi is a good neighborhood sushi restaurant. The food is always good in this unpretentious restaurant. The main criticism is sometimes the friendly staff is overloaded and service slows. The food keeps us coming here regularly.

The service at this restaurant was exceptional, but the food took a while to be served. We arrived at a relatively early time of around 6 pm, so the restaurant was not very busy. Despite the delay, everything we ordered was delicious and well worth waiting for.

I placed an order here and let me tell you the food and staff were amazing! I called in and the person on the phone was extremely nice and helpful on things I wanted and also gave me wonderful recommendations. They were really on point from when I called and when I needed by order by. Upon arrival, everyone greeted me and was really friendly. I had to wait a bit because it was busy but I just sat down at the bar and also had a drink. The person who served me was really nice.

Me and my friend ordered three rolls of California rolls. There are bad avocados in three pieces. The avocados inside are black and definitely shouldn't be brought to the table. I requested a replacement for them, but the restaurant refused to replace the bad sushis and said that I need to bring them the whole roll for replacement. I mean, if other pieces are fine why shouldn't I eat them. In the end the restaurant did not replace anything or make any kind of apologies. I
