La Cantine - Mende

Excellent service from our waiter who explained the menu in perfect English and has given recommendations. the food was excellent and plentiful too. the best meal of our 10-day tour through France

We were in mende for a night and had dinner here. absolutely fabulous! all with locally grown organic ingredients and the restaurant is obviously guided by people who love what they do! (the menu choice is quite limited, but don't leave the service...off) was a bit slow, but that wouldn't stop me from going back.

We did not eat here, but after a long walk tried to find the place, we said a reading of the menu that this was for us. very limited selection and not occupied. only have what is fresh on this day and so too little choice....being far from the action and so no mood.

Small friendly room filled with happy, and obviously, regular customers. organic and locally produced ingredients.

When you mix very high quality ingredients with organic wine, you're half way to the top. Add a very good chef and you win! In La Cantine they change the menu daily and everything is freshly prepared and well served. Music is very appropriate, some...books are available for guests...it was a very relaxing and tasty meal: I forgot it was a business trip. This place is strongly recommended.
