When I came to the lobby, I immediately saw a broochure that promoted an african wildlife conservation center that antelope, giraffe and zebras breeds. there are wolves and mother of pearl jewellery for sale. there are non-vegan drinks in ravens restaurant (read my separate review). we were pleased to find two chocolate chip cookies when they enter our room. the room was clean and a decent size, but the bathroom was a little small. the shower had a very bad water pressure, but I appreciated the refillable shower, shampoo and conditioner instead of one-way travel-size bottles that were often found in hotels. after discovering non-vegan objects in the lobby and in the restaurant I wonder if the care products are vegan. the lotion had a strong scent I didn't like. the hand towels were very soft. the fireplace with free wood was a beautiful amenity. the king bed was comfortable, but the kisses were much too soft for someone who sleeps on their side. my partner and I were both suddenly awakened from the sound of an animal in the wall. even if the gasthof did not advertise as an eco-resort I was surprised to see disposable crockery coffee pads in the room. Overall, I'm glad I finally visited, but I wouldn't stay here again, especially for the cost.
I've been here before and I know how delicious this was. this time, while staying was different, eating in ravens was a complete disappointment. overcrowded rice in the risotto, while somehow the alcohol from the wein did not boil; gritty polnta, which was strangely sweet; turbulent overload in the tofu cube, which is the same as the “baked tofu” and the same as the filling for the crepe. I wanted it to be so much better. will not come back unless there is a drastic change in the kitchen. updated by the previous review on 2022-04-06
My family and I were here several times. all vegan restaurants, cozy rooms each with one fireplace and super dog friendly. the Mendocino area is amazing and a calm curse. our pups love to visit us and we always feel so welcome! the pool and the whirlpool are beautiful and so are the pre-site organic gardens. we will continue to come back as this place goes beyond the special! I'm vegan and my man isn't, but we both feel welcome and he loves eating. the breakfast is every morning with their stay, their vegan bar (vegan **** Mary’s yass) are also so good! updated by the previous review on 2021-09-27
The highlight of our stay was the kanufahrt on the big river. we were alone on the river most of the time, we saw many birds, and a playful seal swam around and under our kanu. the crisp are easy for beginners and some have a dog seat. our room was pleasant, with a working fireplace and a balcony view of the gardens and a little ozean. the pool, the whirlpool, the massage and the free bike rental were great, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
How often can you treat yourself like royalty? We have been to Stanford Inn by the Sea twice for birthday celebrations. From the kind and helpful staff to the beautiful and spacious rooms, we felt pampered and welcomed family members!! The well manicured grounds are lovely! And I can't say enough about the delicious large breakfasts! The Ravens restaurant is all vegan!! I will always recommend Stanford Inn by the Sea! Updated from previous review on 2021-07-29
