The pizza here has consistently been delicious every time we've ordered. Whenever I host an event and don’t feel like cooking, I always turn to Applewood for dinner. The crust is thick and they are generous with toppings. However, if you prefer thin crust pizza, this might not be the best choice for you. Each time we’ve called, we haven’t had to wait long; our pizza is usually ready for pickup in about 15 to 30 minutes at most. Be sure to check online for any coupons or promotions, and remember not to overorder! I often forget that their pizzas are HUGE—a large is definitely enough for four people. We tried the Hawaiian Menlo Combo and customized our own toppings, and we were very pleased with the results.
I really enjoy pizza here, especially if you prefer a heartier style compared to New York pizza. The unique toppings reflect a German influence, and they also offer delicious salads and a fantastic selection of German beers on tap. Parking can be tricky since there's not much available nearby. Occasionally, the service at the drink counter can feel a bit unfriendly, making it hard to tell if the staff is overwhelmed or just irritated by customers asking for drinks. The atmosphere is simple yet comfortable, reminiscent of a cozy pizza parlor, and it often seems like a great spot to catch up with friends and neighbors.
You absolutely have to try the Hungarian garlic bread called Langos! It's incredibly tasty! The pizza is fantastic, but I also really enjoy the pasta. It can get pretty busy at times, so I highly recommend calling in your order ahead of time! Parking can be a bit tricky, so it’s a good idea to have someone with you to drive around the block while you grab your delicious food.
The scandinavian pizza is lovely.
