I was told I needed to try a Pasty (pronounced Pass-Tee, apparently) while in the UP. I tried the beef and rutabaga. It was ok at best. It seemed to have too much potato and not enough beef. The service was great though and very attentive.
A neat little drive up shop with Pasties that are also famous. Some of the best chili I have found in the area.Parking: Small lot with maybe 5 spots and a drive up window
First time trying pasties and it couldn’t be at a better place. Both pizza and beef rutabaga pasties were amazing! Highly recommend.
We were purchasing the beef and rutabaga pasties for months after first moving here only to find out at a later date that they contained pork. We do not eat pork as it goes against our religion. They need to label a lot better. Many are on a parve/halal diet. Very disappointing experience. We will never go back.
