Bar du Cap - Menton

My husband and I had a drink at this bar on our first day in Menton, good service by an english speaking waitress. That night after dinner we walked into town and this place was abuzz! Live music and every table was occupied! We decided that we wouldn't have breakfast at our hotel, but walk down town as we needed the exercise. We returned to Bar du Cap, and had their breakfast special; for €6.50 we had fresh orange juice, the choice of a baguette or croissant, and a coffee. The best coffee for some time, we are coffee snobs from Melbourne, and find it hard to get a great coffee in France! We have gone from having our regular cafe latte in Melbourne to a relative cafe noisette in France! Good choice!

Excellent place to sit and relax for a light lunch in a lovely location.My seafood salad was delicious and just right for a light lunch on a hot day.My husband enjoyed his anchovy bruschettas and we had a wonderful ile flottante for dessert.A very pleasant spot to sit outdoors for lunch and good food too.

Visited Menton whilst on holidays in Nice. We decided to have lunch. We ate in this brasserie previously, so we knew what to expect. We had salad nicoise and fermiere. On this occasion both salads were a bit plain even with dressing.

Nice brassiere in the downtown. Fast service, big dishes, delicious cuisine. Totally recommend. Mussels and the salad de mer are fantastic.

Great spot for afternoon wine, beer or lunch. Very consistent service and good pricing. Marvellous location.
