Denny's - Mentor

I come here once a year to Thanksgiving breakfast with my family. We've been doing this for many years. the service here was always friendly and attentive. eating is always consistent and quite good. I don't think we're ever disappointed to come here. we appreciate that they are open for the holiday. hopefully the workers get a chance to spend time with the family!

We have ordered us to eat and package was excellent, but the ladies who helped us in writing were far from friendly. no idea why and when we asked for one-way cutlery (what should have been in our package) she seemed a little upset. we visited the usa after a long time and so we have settled down.

While traveling back home from NY, we stopped in to get lunch. I ordered a tried and true dish that I always get at our neighborhood Denny 's restaurant which was the Bourbon Chicken Skillet. It was awful in that all of my food was literally swimming in Bourbon sauce! I eat this dish all the time and have NEVER had it drenched in bourbon sauce so much so that it was almost sickening. I couldn 't really tell the waitress in time to get it re-made because she was scarce and we were on a time crunch, trying to get back home. But when she brought us the check, I showed her the full saucer full of bourbon sauce that I had drained from my plate, telling her how bad it was and all she said was We have a new cook. And when I went to the register to pay I asked the guy taking my payment if he was a Manager and he said yes, so I told him how bad it was and how I had drained a full saucer full of bourbon sauce from my plate, and had never seen anything like it before. And he too only replied, We have a new cook. He never offered any apology or any discount... just seemed as if he did not care at all. I am including a photo.

They are short staffed, but you’d never know it. We were greeted and seated right away, our server was very pleasant and didn’t act rushed or stressed at all, and our meals arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. This was a very nice visit.

We like the menu of denny, were in the opposite already some, and feel that this is far and away the best. regardless, it is meat quality puts it over other Dennys, and we were always greeted, waited and served immediately. they have a hand-owner who helps significantly. we always go there when in the opposite.
