The Fox Den - Mequon

The beer selection here is fantastic and constantly changing. It's a great spot with outstanding food. We visited on a Sunday after apple picking and took advantage of their $2 slider special, featuring freshly made patties that were impressively well-seasoned! The hand-cut fries were a perfect complement. I just wish it were closer to home!

The staff were fantastic—enthusiastic and very helpful. The baked perch with fruit may have been simple, but it was absolutely delicious. The Old Fashioneds were expertly crafted and impressive. We had a large group, including children, and everyone had a great time. This place is yet another wonderful bar in a Wisconsin city that offers delicious food.

So, my husband and I wanted to fill the food tank and stumble on this lil gem. The owner/guard was welcoming and very friendly. The food was great and the ole fashions were amazing. If we come to Mequon next, we'll be sure to see you again! Good luck with your little boy Kim!

The menu is wonderfully eclectic, centered around comforting dishes. During my visit, I enjoyed some incredible tacos and delightful Scottish eggs. I’m looking forward to trying their Korean tacos and foot-long corn dogs next time. The drinks are strong, and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed, attracting a cool crowd. More people should discover this place, but not too many—it's like the end of a rainbow. It has a timeless quality that feels romantic. Food and love often go hand in hand here. With a more rustic vibe than urban, it reminded me of a Led Zeppelin song: "Hey, lady, you have the love I need, perhaps even more than enough." Oh, darling, run with me for a while; you have so much to offer… Many have loved me, and I've been hurt before. I've often gazed down the open road, lied, listened, and pondered just how much one should know. Many dreams come true, some shining with silver linings. I live for my dreams like a beacon of gold. Mellow is the man who understands what he's missed, for many are blind to the open road. The word "a lot" only hints at the countless things you ought to truly understand—oh, you should really know. As J.R.R. Tolkien wrote, "I leapt o’er the stream, filled with joy, for Tinfang Warble played a sweet melody." I must follow the haunting notes of twilight flutes, weaving through reeds and branches, over roots, across dimming fields, and through rustling grasses. This gentle murmur reminds me of old Elven tunes, played softly over hills and far away. Drive here quickly!
