The B-q Pit - Merced

Awesome old school baby back ribs, pink like they should be. Sauce is perfectly tangy sweet, without being too sweet. We *always* stop here whenever we're in the area. On my latest visit they were a bit less tender, hopefully just an anomaly. Oh, and the beans are kinda bland, get corn instead.

Best BBQ ribs ever!!! Great service with a friendly smile even tho we showed up close to closing.

We had breakfast off senior menu. It was good. Like home cooked food. Inexpensive and employees are very friendly. Update 7/22/2024 Will continue to frequent. Still good comfort food. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food. Kid-friendliness: Very family oriented.

They were so sweet. I went to get something to go and I had my dog with me. (Windows were down and the back window was open so he was actually sticking halfway out of the cab) I ran inside and grabbed a menu and went back out to my truck. I went back in to order and they took care of me quickly so I could get back out to my dog. She even gave me a large cup of ice water for him while we waited. I got the French dip and it was so tender. Absolutely loved the whole experience.

Go to place for breakfast and lunch. Been going here for 40 plus years.
